Dressmaker's Shop!

Greta and Grace together agreed on that they needed to make a dressmaker's shop .( The shop is only a shoe box...) So Grace started to build and after the building Greta started to design.

Gerta ja Grace päättivät yksimielisesti, että he haluavat avata ompelimon. (Ompelimo on vaan kenkälaatikko...) Niin Grace alkoi rakentaa ja rakentamisen jälkeen Gerta alkoi suunnitella.















Grace is still doing some fixing with her new tools while Greta already started to bring useful things in, the old sewing machine is from their grandmother. Only one wall got wallpaper on it but we are still thinking of the color.

Grace vielä vähän korjailee, kun Greta tuo jo hyödyllisiä tavaroita sisään, vanha ompelukone on heidän isoäidin. Vain yksi seinä sai tapettia, mutta me vielä mietitään väriä.















This is today's result in the dressmaker's shop. Pretty cute? Greta has brought in rugs, mats, colorful cloths, buttons, beads, yarn and string. Greta is behind her new table which Grace built as a surprise for her.

Tämä on tämänpäiväisen tulos ompelimossa. Eikö olekin söpö? Greta on tuonut mattoja, värikkäitä kankaita, nappeja, helmiä ja nauhoja. Greta istuu uuden pöytänsä takana, jonka Grace nikkaroi hänelle yllätykseksi.















Greta sits happily behind her table already daydreaming about tomorrow and next week's opening.

Greta istuu iloisesti pöytänsä takana ja miettii jo huomista ja seuraavan viikon avajaisia.

A Cute Present from Friends!

The Kokkonen family (Lotta, Ritva, Katariina and Pellervo) gave me and my sister dollhouse presents which they bought from Austria. I got this pretty breakfast set, which looks like a real one!

Kokkosen perhe antoi minulle ja siskolleni ihanat nukkekotiyllätykset, jotka on ostettu Itävallasta. Minä sain tämän kertakaikkiaan hienon aamupalasetin, joka näyttää ihan aidolta!

The Two Final Days: 23 and 24!

On the day 23 I found this: Laura has made me an apron, a cook book, a shopping list and a pen!!!!! She really has lots of ideas! Greta, the one who is always doing things in the kitchen, will be very happy about these...

Aatonaattona sain tällaiset jutut: Lara on tehnyt minulle esiliinan, keittokirjan, ostoslistan ja kynän!!! Lauralla on sitten tosi paljon ideoita! Greta, se tyttö, joka koko ajan puuhailee keittiössä, tykkää näistä tosi paljon...

On the last day, the Christmas Eve, the dollhouse finally got what the girls have been eagerly waiting for: the fireplace for Greta's and Grace's livingroom !!! Now the girls can use their firewood to warm up the house. Luckily the winter has so far been so mild!

Ja viimeisestä laatikosta jouluaattona paljastui tämä kauan odotettu juttu: takka Gretan ja Gracen olohuoneeseen! No, nyt tytöt voivat vihdoin alkaa polttaa niitä takkapuitaan... Onneksi talvi on ollut melko leuto tähän mennessä.

Days 20 to 22

On the twentieth day I woke up to find a little tiny suitcase!! That is so cute with buckles and it even opens up!! Laura told me it was made from a candy box , so that's why it opens so well. Thank you so much, Laura!

Kahdentenakymmenentenä päivänä herätessäni löysin tämmöisen ihan pikkuisen matkalaukun!! Se on niin söpö kaikkine solkineen ja se jopa avautuu!! Laura kertoi minulle, että se on tehty karkkirasiasta, joten siksi se avautuu niin hyvin. Tosi paljon kiitoksia, Laura!

On the twenty first day I found those things in there, I was wondering a lot...

Seuraavana päivänä löysin laatikosta tuollaiset hassut jutut, ihmettelin kovasti...

but then I understood when I saw the curtains, they were hooks! On the same day I got a scarf also.

mutta sitten tajusin, kun näin verhot, että nehän olivat verhokoukut! Samana päivänä sain myös hartiahuivin.

I just loved the surprise that I found from day twenty two! It was two cups with napkins and gingerbread.

Tykkäsin kertakaikkiaan yllätyksestä, joka löytyi laatikosta kaksikymmentä kaksi! Siellä oli kaksi kahvikuppia, lautasliinat ja pikkuruisia pipareita.

Then Laura gave me the rest of the china. They look so cute all together!

Sitten Laura antoi minulle loput kalustosta. Ne näyttävät yhdessä tosi ihanilta!

Days Seventeen to Nineteen

On the seventeenth day I found that the tiny box was loaded with beautiful beads. I can do all kinds of stuff with these beads! Thank you,Laura!

Seitsemäntentoista päivänä pikku laatikko oli tupasen täynnä ihania helmiä! Näistä voi tehdä vaikka ja mitä! Kiitokset Lauralle!

On the eighteenth day I found some more food for Greta and Grace. That is great - they don't have to go on hungry ;)

Kahdeksantenatoista päivänä laatikko oli täynnä ruokaa Gretalle ja Gracelle. Tosi hyvä juttu, tyttöjen ei tarvitse olla nälässä ;)


And on the nineteenth day Greta and Grace got a writing set, which has a writing tablet, a notebook, two pencils, an envelope and a note, a pen holder and the two beads are for feather ink pens. Laura hasn't done the feathers yet.

Ja yhdeksäntenätoista päivänä Greta ja Grace saivat kirjoitussetin! Siihen kuuluu kirjoitusalusta, muistikirja, kaksi lyijykynää, kirjekuori ja viestilappu, kynäteline ja nuo kaksi helmeä ovat sulkakyniä varten. Niitä Laura ei ole vielä tehnyt.

We have been sooooo busy with the Xmas stuff that the blog update comes only now, sorry for this.

Olemme olleet tosi joulukiireisiä koko viikon, niin että päivitys tulee vasta nyt!

Day Sixteen

My goodness, today the drawer is full of all kinds of cute, little thingies: gingerbread, chocolate, milk, sugar, pot holders...

Laura has made the pot holders and small packages herself, and the gingerbread are bought.

Voi hyvänen aika, tänään laatikko on täynnä kaikkea pientä ja ihanaa: pipareita, suklaata, maitoa, sokeria, pannulappuja...

Laura teki itse pannulaput ja paketit. Piparit on ostettu Sinellistä.

Day Fifteen

Grace will love this! This will be a good Christmas present for her, she loves to renovate and build anything. Laura bought these from Hobby Point (an arts and craft store).

Grace tykkää tästä ihan varmasti! Tästä yllätyksestä tulee kiva joululahja Grace-tytölle, joka mielellään remontoi ja rakentelee kaikenlaista. Laura osti nämä hauskat jutut Hobby Pointista.

Laura painted the tool-box with terra color and here is the final result!
